Jacob Bennett signed a letter of intent to attend Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana on a baseball scholarship Monday, July 26 at Frank Ernaga Field at Susanville’s Memorial Park.
Bennett has been playing for LCC since his graduation from Lassen High School in 2018. His former coach Steve Robertson helped set up a connection at Centenary, and he was offered a scholarship to play baseball and finish his education.
On July 28 Bennett traveled to France to attend a mini term abroad in Paris for 10 days — then he will start classes full time in late August, pursuing a degree in business management and playing baseball as a Gent. Centenary is a private, liberal arts college.
