Crews from the Bureau of Land Management plan to burn piles of juniper along Horse Lake Road north of Susanville tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Burning crews plan to cover about 100 acres along Horse Lake Road, beginning east of Horse Lake and working eastward toward Ravendale.
Smoke may be visible from the Ravendale area beginning about 8:30 a.m. and continuing until afternoon.
These limbs and small trees were piled in earlier projects to reduce juniper encroachment into habitat important for mule deer, pronghorn antelope and sage grouse.
