Tickets are now on sale for the 11th annual Blues and Brews Festival — a scholarship fundraiser — presented from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 by the Lassen County Farm Bureau and Every Bloomin’ Thing.
As always, this year’s event — held at Every Bloomin’ Thing, 705-670 Highway 395 East — features live music, microbrews, a tri-tip barbecue, wine, a brewing contest, free parking and free rides home.
Breweries and businesses sponsoring this year’s festival include The Brewer’s Cabinet, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Great Basin Brewing Company, Fall River Brewing Company, Alpine Beverage of California, Susan River Brewing, the Diamond Mountain Brewery, Lassen Ale Works, Silver Peak Brewery, Blach and Grocery Outlet.
Blue Haven, a high-energy boogie blues band from the Reno, will provide the music. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
