Bourne agrees to appear at a Town Hall meeting on transgender indoctrination in Lassen County
I received this message today from Beth Young Bourne — a response to yesterday’s My Turn column on LassenNews.com.
“Fantastic news, Mr. Williams! I would love to participate in a moderated Town Hall meeting on the topic of transgender indoctrination in the public school system (K-12 and Lassen College).
“Let me know the date that works for you. I’m free pretty much every day in September except the 13th. October works well too.
“It would be excellent to have a school board trustee, school administrator, teacher and/or school counselor speaking on the pros of gender ideology in school as well as state and local policies.
“If you have any medical providers, therapists, educators, elected officials including school board trustees who may be concerned that gender ideology is an unfolding social-medical scandal, that would be fantastic as well. I can try to find some names if you need help.”
Bourne also said she would provide me copies of the response to a FOIA/CPRA request she sent to Lassen High School and the Susanville School District “for all records regarding transgenderism.”
So — I am working to find local residents who are willing to participate in this discussion. I ask anyone with information on this topic who would like to participate to call me at (530) 310-0459.
I also hope the Lassen County Republican Assembly will chose to be involved in this event. I hope they can recognize I completely support their right to be concerned about this issue and to express their opinions. I hope they will decide to both participate in and help plan such a meeting, I hope they will join this effort to simply inform the public.
Our goal should be to serve and inform our community, to air this issue out in a public forum for all of us to consider, comprehend and understand.
Stay tuned.
