Burger King shooting suspect in custody

The Susanville Police Department announced it has a suspect in custody regarding last month’s shooting at Burger King restaurant on Main Street in Susanville.

According to a statement from the SPD, “On Aug. 5, 2023, Patrick Joseph McIntire was booked into Lassen County Jail. He was arrested pursuant to a warrant for his involvement in the shooting in front of Burger King on July 23.

“Mr. McIntire had turned himself in to Nevada County Aug. 1. We are confident that this person no longer poses a threat to our community.”
