Business Scene for the week of 12/10/19

Your friends at our locally owned Plumas Bank are showing their appreciation to the community for the opportunity to serve your banking needs for 39 years as they do each year at their local branches.

The Susanville branch is having its Client Appreciation Day this Thursday, Dec. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. Make a point to visit the branch for some holiday fun and cheer, and be sure to pick up your free copy of their annual photo wall calendar.

This year the craft fair will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. There will be more than 40 vendors filling both Jensen Hall and the Industrial building. There will be custom made jewelry, quilts and hand sewn items, home decor, Christmas decor and decorations, health and beauty products, books by local authors, edible gifts and much, much more.

Also, don’t forget the Festival of Lights going on right now. You can drive through any night, except for the night of the Dec. 13, which is walk through only. The Christmas light show is put on by local organizations, groups and families. Additionally, Wolcott wants to remind every one its not too late to book Jensen Hall for your holiday party. Call the fair office at 251-8900 for more information.

Mary and Bob Loflin, owners of New Image Racquetball and Fitness Center, are celebrating the season with the community. From 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, they will be hosting a “Winter Wonderland Zumbathon.” All proceeds will go to Susanville Holiday with a Hero.

On the same day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a craft fair to benefit the Spirit Elite Eagles cheerleading team. Craft booths will have Christmas gifts from local vendors. Save yourself the work of holiday baking and candy making, and let Merry Morsels do the cooking for you. Merry Morsels will be one of the several vendors there. You can also bring your holiday packages to be gift wrapped by the cheerleading team.

Sis Q Logs are 100 percent condensed sawdust, they burn clean and are environmentally friendly. The logs are easy to handle and create less mess in your home than traditional firewood.
