ANNUAL LIBRARY SALE
It’s time for the annual Lassen Library book sale. The event will take place from today, Tuesday, April 9, through Saturday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Prices on quality books are super low, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on spring reading material.

BOOK SIGNING AT MARGIE’S BOOK NOOK
Local author Lynne Sella will be joining Margie’s Book Nook for a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13. She will be premiering her book, “Horse Wrangler,” which is the third book in the Deputy Murdock series. Be sure to attend and meet the author where she’ll personally be signing copies.

COMMUNITY WELLNESS WORKSHOP
Local Kinesiologist Jon Olson, at Applied Kinetic Concepts, will be hosting a free community wellness workshop on from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The workshop will take place at the Susanville Mall conference room located at 805 Main St. This is a casual drop in program where you can learn the holistic way to identify imbalances in the body through muscle testing and determine what is inhibiting the body’s natural internal energies. Correcting this disorganization within the nervous system restores the life enhancing potential and brings your body back to peak performance. MEADOW VIEW FAMILY FUN RUN
Meadow View School will be holding a 5K Family Fun Run Saturday, April 20. The run will take place at 9 a.m. at the Susanville Ranch Park. You can sign up at the school’s Facebook page. Participants get a free T-shirt with their registration.

K9 PROGRAM FUNDRAISER
Chris Johnson, General Manager at Susanville Auto Center, has partnered with the Susanville Police Officer’s Association to donate $100 for every vehicle sold through April 30 for the K9 Program.
“We were very excited to help bring back this valuable program to our community,” said Johnson.

The 2019 Margarita Fest is just around the corner. This annual event is hosted by the Soroptimists in Susanville and will once again be held at the fairgrounds inside Jensen Hall.
