CUSTOMER APPRECIATION WINNERS
Last month we celebrated Customer Appreciation Days throughout Susanville and we’re pleased to announce the many winners of our shopping spree giveaways and the local in store drawings. We want to thank all of our sponsors for participating and all of the shoppers for taking the time to visit as many merchants as possible.
Our shopping spree winners include: Ken Harper, Mary Ellen Schaap, Alli Burt, Ken Theobald, Lorraine Noblet, Paula Smaeuse, Bobbie Kirkpatrick, Jessica Roy, Toni Heisey, Susan Nickey and Carla Short. Many winners drove to town from the outlying communities to support the Susanville Customer Appreciation sponsors.
We also did a special drawing for shoppers who let us know why they supported our local sponsors. Here are just a few of the comments we got back:
“I like shopping at Sierra Tan because the staff is friendly and helpful,” a customer noted.
“I shop at IGA because it is a clean, friendly environment. IGA always has great prices and the staff is always smiling and helpful. The owners give back to the community and it is truly a great place with great people,” said another.
“I shop local at Billington Ace Hardware because it’s nice to find hardware in town when I need it,” a shopper said.
Another Ace client said, “They always have what I need (unlike big box stores) and the staff is so awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. Plus I love the great prices and coupons too!”
“Zaengles Carpet One Floor & Home is where I like to spend my money in Susanville to support my local business and save on gasoline,” another customer said.
At Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel, a customer told us, “Every employee is friendly, professional and it is great having a casino/hotel/restaurant/bar combo in town.”
There is definitely the common opinion that residents shop local because they have built long term relationships with the local business owners and they realize, by doing so, they help them support our community, clubs and organizations.
Some of our in-store drawing winners were: Grace Wilbur and Dawn Egan, at Chickadee Boutique; Susan Nickey, at Elegant Iris & Men’s Den; and Jean Weir, at Zaengles Carpet One Floor & Home. At Sierra Tan, Michelle Woods, Melissa Tabarez, Kristi Lopez, Gloria Leslie, Sarah Shihadeh, Pamela Myers and Stephanie Shepard were the lucky winners of their multiple in-store drawings. Peggy Snell was the winner at Sierra Jewelry Company, John Boeckholt was the winner at Billington Ace Hardware, Catalino Flores was the winner at Susanville Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram and at the Pet Station, Mandie Jaso, Becca Carpenter and Mike Green won fabulous prizes, too. At Margie’s Book Nook, Bob Fries was the winner and at Diamond Mountain Casino & Hotel the winners were Daniel Olsenperry, Ashley Merino, Jr Williams, Carol Van Amburg and Susan Nickey. There were also two winners at Mountain Yoga Studio.
I don’t know when the last time you drove out of town to shop where you also had a chance to win multiple prizes and shopping sprees, but if you didn’t win or play the Customer Appreciation Shopping Spree giveaway drawings this year, don’t worry. We’ll be doing our Santa’s Sleigh Days promotion the first weekend in December and you’ll have another chance to get great sales specials and enter to win some holiday money.
