FREE THANKSGIVING DINNER

Once again this year, the congregation at Susanville Assembly of God will serving a free Thanksgiving Day dinner. SIGN UP FOR THE DART LEAGUE

Gino Surian at the T&A Lounge tells us you can sign up for their four person dart teams. The league meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Plus, they are having open mike night for local musicians, comics and entertainers. Stop in at the T&A Lounge for a refreshing beverage and more information.

PARENTING ACHIEVEMENT WORKSHOPS

Lassen Community College will be having a series of parenting Compliance Achievement workshops facilitated by instructor Lisa Jersey. The workshops focus on co-parenting communication, goal setting, skills and attitudes for success and dealing with two-household families. The program is on Nov. 28, 29 and 30. Participants must attend all three sessions to earn a certificate of completion. To pre-register, see their ad in this week’s paper.

SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL NCCA

The Diamond Mountain Casino, Hotel & Brewery Coffin Racing team recently told us they donated their $575.00 in prize money to our local chapter of the Northern California Cancer Advocates. NCCA helps individuals in our local community with their expenses for cancer treatment. If you or your business is doing any fundraisers to support this worthwhile charity, be sure to let us know so we can get the word out.

The casino is always holding 2 drawings every Wednesday until Nov. 23, where seven lucky winners will receive a voucher they can redeem at Susanville Supermarket IGA for a turkey. A TASTE OF ITALY ROTARY WINE TASTING

Lassen Ale Works is proud to support Rotary while pouring their beer at the Susanville Sunrise Rotary “14th Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. The event will take place at Jensen Hall at the Fairgrounds. Tickets are available at Margie’s Book Nook, the Chamber, Jensen Hall or your favorite local Rotarian. CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE AND COUNTRY STORE

The Monticola Club is hosting their twelfth annual Christmas Boutique and Country Store this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19. There will be a variety of items including ceramic arts, photography and fused glass creations. The event will be held at the Monticola Club House in Susanville, located at 140 South Lassen St.

SANTA VISITING CRAFT FAIR

Bring your camera to the Lassen County Fair Holiday Craft Fair, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3, where along with the many vendors, Santa and a few of his elves will be making an appearance.
