We just received a faxed copy of a “data verification” form for Yellow Pages California. Although it says in fairly large type “This is not a bill,” if you look carefully at the fine print (our copy was really hard to read) you’ll see that it is actually an order authorizing inclusion of your business information to their online directory with an agreement to pay $99 a month for a two-year commitment. Plus, it automatically renews for an additional year if it is not canceled in writing three months prior to the expiration date.
