The Lady Cougars started the first quarter against the Lady Road Runners hard and fast, as they led the visiting team by seven points early in the quarter.

In the third quarter the Lady Road Runners brought their game back starting with a nine point run with little resistance from the Lady Cougars at first.

But Dar’Juanah Harris helped push the Lady Cougars’ shooting in their third quarter rut keeping them relevant going into the final quarter as the Lady Road Runners took a 51-49 lead.

To start the fourth quarter, the Lady Grizzlies came out and battled against their visiting opponent with Ikela Green solidifying her status as a three-point shooter helping lead her team to a 26 point quarter. The Lady Road Runners played on to the very end though and attempted to answer off every rebound with a basket, but a few missed shots and the Lady Cougars’ communication led to a 75-71 victory.

The Lady Cougars were led in scoring by Green who recorded 22 points, while Irish Winn and New Holy finished with 17 and 15 points respectively.
The Lady Cougars’ record now stands at 19-7 and 4-4 in the GVC.
