Calendar supports agricultural education

Lassen County CattleWomen have produced a 2018 calendar that features beautiful pictures of historic barns throughout Lassen County. Proceeds from the calendar benefit the CattleWomen’s work to support college scholarships for studies in agriculture, Ag in the Classroom, Future Farmers of America and 4-H clubs throughout the county.

“Lassen County has a rich agricultural heritage and our 2018 Barns of Lassen County calendar celebrates that heritage,” said Della Smith, president of Lassen County CattleWomen. “The donation for the calendar helps the CattleWomen’s work to ensure that future generations continue to appreciate that heritage and to come home to ranch or farm, become veterinarians or pursue other careers in agriculture.”

Calendars are available at Margie’s Book Nook, Billington Ace Hardware and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor’s Center on Main St. in Susanville.
