California County Superintendents name Megan Dahle as 2024 Educational Partner of the Year

The California County Superintendents is proud to announce that Assemblywoman Megan Dahle, representing California’s 1st Assembly District, has been named the 2024 Educational Partner of the Year (formerly Legislator of the Year).

According to a statement from the California County Superintendents, based on selections from an awards committee of county superintendents across the state, following nominations from all 58 county offices of education, this prestigious honor is awarded annually to an individual who supports our county offices of education in shared goals to improve student access and outcomes.

Assemblywoman Dahle has consistently demonstrated her commitment to education by actively engaging with county superintendents to understand and address the challenges faced by educators.

Her dedication is exemplified by her recent efforts in Shasta County, where she championed legislation recognizing cultural events and ceremonies as excused absences. This initiative not only fosters inclusivity for Native communities but also promotes acceptance for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
