The Almanor Ranger District will temporarily close the Canyon Dam Boat Launch for repairs Monday, Aug. 8, through Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022.
This closure will allow an upgrade to the dock bumper and painting the dock with anti-slip
paint. While the boat launch will be closed, the Day Use area and Lake Almanor Recreation Trail will remain open. The Almanor Boat Launch at Almanor North Campground will remain open. The Almanor Boat Launch at Almanor North Campground will remain open and is the recommended alternate launch to use.
The Canyon Dam Boat Launch will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022.
