The Court Aappointed Special Advocates of Lassen Family Services bring a virtual training via Zoom to Lassen County about generational trauma from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17.
Participants will learn how generational patterns like poverty, trauma and incarceration affect foster youth in our community. Providers working with foster youth and their families will learn how to better support and assist them from a generational perspective to overcome these barriers.
Presenter Nola Brantley will train on the patterns of trauma across the lifespan and how they affect individuals from childhood to adulthood. This training will focus on the effects on foster youth and how providers can support youth in overcoming barriers such as poverty, substance use, incarceration, and more.
