The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce provided a special notice from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration regarding changes to sales and use tax rates that go into effect Oct. 1, 2022.
The sales tax rate in the city of Susanville increases from 7.250 percent to 8.250 percent Oct. 1 — an increase was approved by the voters.
Here’s the CDTFA’s special notice California voters approved the district tax changes listed below in the June 2022 election, except as noted. The tax rate changes apply only within the indicated city or county limits. The new tax rates, tax codes and expiration dates will be available to view and download as a spreadsheet on Sept. 1, 2022, on our webpage, California City & County Sales & Use Tax Rates (scroll down to download for the spreadsheet).
