Chamber Update
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill a board vacancy. Chamber members interested are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Sept. 6. Stop by our office at 1516 Main Street to pick up a Board of Directors application or contact the office to have one forwarded to you.
The chamber board holds its monthly meeting at noon Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Diamond Mountain Casino Boardroom. The board encourages member attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board, contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
Mark your calendar for the September Chamber Mixer, hosted by Lassen Association of Realtors, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 fat 1740 Main St. in Susanville. Live music from the Villebilly’s and Vegas Double Down BBQ will be catering. Bring your family, friends and neighbors for an evening of fun. LMUD is hosts its Customer Appreciation Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 to celebrate you, the customers and community it proudly serves. This year, lunch will be served at the future home of LMUD, 50 N. Gay St. (the former Bank of America building). LMUD will have an event tent set-up in the parking lot with plenty of seating, so plan on staying a while, visiting with your friends and neighbors and enjoying your lunch. While you’re there, pick up some cool, LMUD swag and sign up to win a $100 LMUD energy gift card.

Join the Lassen County Arts Council at The Cottage Street Gallery on at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 for the first ever Mural Tour! Enjoy local historian Janet Corey as she narrates the guided tour. Light refreshments will be provided after the tour. Feel free to bring a folding chair, water or a light jacket. Mural books will be available for purchase. Susanville Fire Department marks the 21st anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy. Susanville City Fire Chef James Moore is inviting the public to join the department in a commemoration of the firefighters, paramedics, police officers and other innocent victims whose lives were ended by the tragic terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. The Susanville Fire Department joins with remembrances being held all across the country on Sept. 11. Just before 7 a.m. the group will assemble in from of the fire hall’s flagpole, the honor guard will present the colors and there will be a moment of silence and a prayer. Mark your calendar for Summer Blowout at Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. This end of summer community get-together is free to the public and open to all ages. Lassen County Fair is hosting its inaugural Oktoberfest Friday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
