Frightmare at the Fair
Are you ready for Halloween? Susanville Best of Broadway presents Frightmare at the Fair from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 27 through Oct. 31 at the Lassen County Fairgrounds offering a ‘no scare’ option from 6 to 7 p.m. each day. Pre-sale tickets are available for $8-$10 at Margie’s Book Nook, Forest Office Equipment and Lassen County Chamber of Commerce.
Harvest Succulent Centerpiece Workshop
Every Bloomin’ Thing and Gift Shoppe hosts a Harvest Succulent Centerpiece Workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Create a magical artpiece for your harvest table. These stunning pumpkins are adorned with a range of colors and textures including succulents, dried/silk flowers, berries, pinecones and moss. An Evening of Jazz
The Susanville Symphony’s 2022-2023 Concert Series brings you An Evening of Jazz, at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Featured guest artists: Wayne Bergeron, trumpet, Danny Sandoval, tenor sax, and Paul Lenz, trumpet. Tickets are available at Susanville Dental Care and Margie’s Book Nook. Sentimental Journey’s second annual Craft Fair in the Barn
Sentimental Journey’s second annual Craft Fair in the Barn will be held from 10 am. To 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 at 465-320 Church Street in Janesville. This event will have new vendors, one-of-a-kind items, Halloween, fall and Christmas food and gifts.
Safe and Sane Halloween
The Historic Uptown Susanville Association hosts the annual Safe and Sane Halloween event from 3:30 to 5:30 Monday, Oct. 31, in Uptown Susanville featuring live entertainment, dance performances, the pet costume contest, the children’s costume contest and loads of candy. Best of Broadway Auditions
Susanville Best of Broadway holds auditions for its 2023 concert series, “Decades of Dreamers” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 or from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Auditions are open to all genders and skill levels ages 6 and up. Come prepared to sing a chorus of a song of your choice and allow an hour and a half for the audition process. Sunrise Rotary’s 19th annual Beer and Wine Tasing
Susanville Sunrise Rotary presents its19th annual Beer and Wine Tasting at Jensen Hall, Saturday, Nov. 19. Tickets are $35 per person which includes delicious appetizers and a commemorative glass, a silent auction, need not be to be present to win. Tickets are available from Susanville Sunrise Rotarians. Lassen Senior Services Turkey Trot
Lassen Senior Services hosts its 9th annual Turkey Trot, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24 at 1700 Sunkist Drive in Susanville. The course is 3.1 miles, and there will be prizes for best costumes and largest family group. Donations of non-perishable food or cash are appreciated. Lassen Hoops Registration
Lassen Hoops opens registration. Online sign-ups will run from Oct. 24 to Nov. 18 and can be accessed at clubs.bluesombrero.com/lassenhoops. In person sign-ups will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Susanville Pizza Factory. Third through sixth grade boys and third through eighth grade girls are eligible to register.
