Happy Pride Month
Lassen Pride Network can’t wait to celebrate with y’all! We’ll be hosting our second annual Pride March at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 at Roop’s Fort where we’ll share our stories and have a few speeches before marching to the Chamber Office at 4 p.m. to hear our second annual Pride Month declaration.
A Frozen Story
J and J Performing Arts presents “A Frozen Story” at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11 at the Lassen High School Gym. A Mini Show will be presented at 4 p.m. For more information go to jandjperformingarts.com or call (530) 260-1575.

LCC Baseball Hustlin’ Cougar Youth Camp. Mark your calendars! Boys and Girls 7-13 years old. Memorial Park, 9 a.m.to noon Monday, June 12 for $100, T-shirt included. This year a pre-registration event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11 to help get those parents to work on time, Monday, the first day of camp. If you can’t make pre-registration, you can still sign up the day of camp. Items needed: catcher’s gear (if necessary), cleats, glove, baseball pants, hat, water and snack. Lassen County Law Enforcement Torch Run
Lassen County Law Enforcement Torch Run will be held Thursday, June 15. Opening Ceremonies at 7 a.m., run begins at 7:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies at the Historic Courthouse and the run ends at the Lassen Hall of Justice. There are several ways to participate in this event. You can sign up to be a runner in the event or donate by scanning the QR code or clicking the link on the poster on the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. You can also come cheer on the runners at the finish line.
Adopt A Flowerbed
The Lassen County Fair presents Adopt-A-Flowerbed. Enter the 2023 flowerbed contest. $5 to enter and cash prices for first, second and third place. Entry forms due Thursday, June 15. For more information call (530) 251-8900.
BBQ Contest
The Lassen County Fair is also accepting entry forms for the BBQ Contest (sauce and/or beef dish). Entry forms are due Thursday, June 15. The winner will receive a BBQ package. For more information, to to lassencountyfair.org. Enter online or stop by the fair office, lassen.fairwire.com
Drive-Up Lunch And Dinner
Cha Chas Tacos and Those Buns Dough host a Drive-Up Lunch and Dinner at 50 N. Gay St. on Thursday, June 22. Lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pre-order tickets available. Contact Cha Chas Tacos or Those Buns Dough and pick up a ticket or grab them at the Air Fair!
Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program
The Lassen County Arts Council presents thge Summer Art Program, from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30. Monday and Tuesday for ages 5 and up. Wednesday through Friday for ages 9 and up. An instructional art jam with local instructors Rob and Danielle Cannon. Register online by June 1 for $10 discount.
Firecracker and Freedom Bingo Convention Fundraiser
The Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms host a Firecracker and Freedom Bingo Convention Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 29 Veterans Memorial Hall. $5 per bundle, beverages and snacks available for purchase. In conjunction with this Convention Fundraiser, they are also having a drawing for a cord of wood. Tickets are $20. The winner will be drawn on the night of Bingo. Susanville Pride Potluck BBQ

Nature Camp Day Camp 2023
Lassen Land and Trails Trust presents Nature Camp Day Camp 2023. Session 1: 8-10 years old from Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 14; and Session 2: 10-12 years old from Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28. Registration: $125/week, includes transportation, food and supplies. Available online at lassenlandandtrailstrust.org or Susanville Railroad Depot 601 Richmond Rd. (On the kiosk in front of building).
Backwoods BBQ Competition
Chimney Fund’s annual Backwoods BBQ Competition. Looking for teams to sign up to compete. Donation Entry fee $50. Cooking starts at 7 a.m. Judging at noon and tasting begins at 1 p.m. Chimney Fund provides teams with tri tip, ribs, and 1/2 chickens. Tasting kits are $7. Bottle And Brush Art Bar Trivia Night
Join the fun with Bottle and Brush Art Bar for their New Summer Schedule for Trivia Night. They’re moving to once-a-month schedule for Trivia Night for the next few months, starting in May. The second Thursday of each month they’ll host Trivia Night for the brainiacs in the crowd. $5 a person, up to four people per team. For more information, call 250-3701.
Calvary Kids Storytime
Calvary Kids Storytime, 450 Richmond Road. Every Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. Bring your kids to a Safe, peaceful place where they can be a kid. There will be two book reading groups, age 1-5 and 6-11. They will be reading biblical, moral and outdoor books followed by a craft. Questions, call 257-4833.
