Hope Wheels

Lassen Cougars Soccer Camp
Lassen Cougars Soccer Camp, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 7 through Friday, Aug. 11 from Boys and girls, 5-18 years old. Crisis Intervention Peer Counselor Training
Lassen Family Services hostds another Crisis Intervention Peer Counselor (Rape Crisis) training from Monday, Aug. 7 to Friday, Aug.11. This is a free, voluntary training taking place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1306 Riverside Drive.. Training curriculum includes but is not limited to: Overview of Sexual Assault; Discrimination and Oppression; Child Sexual Abuse; Teen Sexual Abuse/Assault; Crisis Intervention; Referral Resources; Community Collaboration; Collaborative Response; Medical; Law Enforcement; Legal/Court; Documentation; Agency Procedures; and Victim Rights. Best of Doyle Days
The Best of Doyle Days, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday Aug. 12 at Dixon Park in downtown Doyle. Featuring: 40-foot extreme rush obstacle course; bounce house for up to 5 years old and tag arena with light system. World Famous Lizard Races at high noon; street dance featuring live band “sideFX” from 6 to 10 p.m.; face painter, balloon twister and lizard petting zoo; magician and kid games; and gunslingers, crafts and food vendors. LHS Cheerleaders Car Wash
Lassen High School Cheerleaders will have their last Summer Car Wash Fundraiser from 9 a.m.to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. Come out and support your LHS cheerleaders and get your cars washed. All proceeds will go towards helping your LHS cheer with new equipment, cheer attire, competition, fees, and much more.
6th annual Farm to Table Dinner
Join Lassen Land and Trails Trust for the 6th annual Farm to Table Dinner at the Rice Canyon Ranch at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. This year’s event features the trifecta of a stunning farm venue, a Michelin-recognized chef and a four-course meal featuring ingredients and beverages from purveyors in the agricultural landscape that the Land Trust is dedicated to conserving. Lassen Family Services’ Parenting Program
Lassen Family Services’ Parenting Program hosts a Resource Fair and Duck Race from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at Memorial Park. Tickets for the Duck Race are $5 each and can be purchased at Lassen Family Services or Margie’s Book Nook during normal business hours. LCC free lunchtime lecture series
Lassen Community College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series. The series takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday from at the Lassen Library District conference room. These weekly, hour-long sessions delve into diverse topics ranging from practical skills such as writing effective professional emails and starting a small business to crowd-pleaser topics including beekeeping and the mysterious world of spiders. They even cover critical issues like managing financial worries and cyber-awareness skills for the whole family. For a special treat, they also offer beginner and intermediate classes in AI with ChatGPT. All are invited to join these free, educational events. Bottle and Brush Art Bar Trivia Night
Join the fun with Bottle and Brush Art Bar for their new summer schedule for Trivia Night. They’re moving to a once-a-month schedule for Trivia Night for the next few month.
