Come out for Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Chamber Mixer, hosted by Benson’s Humble Homestead from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at 712-960 Sunnyside Road, Janesville. Lassen High School Freshman Orientation
LHS freshmen orientation will be held Monday, Aug. 14, at LHS Student Center. Schedule pickup Starts at 5 p.m. Presentation starts at 5:30 p.m. BBQ dinner, tour of the school, club information, meet school staff, yearbook purchase, AERIES, data confirmation and more.

August Night Farmer’s Market
It’s that time again. Kiddos are headed back to school, the crisp nights are beginning again and the first August Night Market is just around the corner. In our community, Lassen College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series. The series takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the Lassen Library District conference room. These weekly, hour-long sessions delve into diverse topics ranging from practical skills such as writing effective professional emails and starting a small business, to crowd-pleaser topics including beekeeping and the mysterious world of spiders. They even cover critical issues like managing financial worries and cyber-awareness skills for the whole family. For a special treat, they also offer beginner and intermediate classes in AI with ChatGPT. All are invited to join these free, educational events. Bottle & Brush Trivia Night
Join the fun with Bottle & Brush Art Bar for their New Summer Schedule for Trivia Night. They’re moving to once-a-month schedule for Trivia Night for the next few months, starting in May. Calvary Kids Storytime
