Randy Robins at Discover Lassen Lecture Series
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, Lassen Land & Trails Trust’s Discover Lassen lecture series presents “Photographing the Predators of Lassen County” at the historic Susanville Railroad Depot. Local photographer Randy Robins will discuss camera trapping, and the tracking and techniques he uses to photograph our most elusive wild neighbors, including bobcats, mountain lions and the grey wolf.

Northeastern Rural Health Clinics Annual Yard Sale

Octoberfest

Little Grizzlies Cheer Clinic
The Lassen High School Cheerleaders presents Little Grizzlies Cheer Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Lassen High School Gym. Registrations will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Camp will start right at 9 a.m. The cost is $40 per child (camp includes camp T-Shirt, bow and snack). Have your camper wear a loose-fitting T-shirt, shorts or warm up pants (no jeans) and tennis shoes. Have hair pulled out of face. No gum and no jewelry. Campers who attend will learn to stretch, jump, stunt and a few chants. They will also learn a cheer and a dance that they will be performing. Campers will receive their T-shirt and bow on the day they perform at the Lassen High School Homecoming Junior Varsity Football half-time game Friday, Sept. 29. Applications are available. Lunch Time On The Farm
Benson’s Humble Homestead presents Lunch Time on The Farm from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23. Produce, vendors, petting zoo, BBQ. Come play with us. Build a burger bar, 20 vendors, petting pens and maybe some cornhole. $25/Booth.

Junior Fishing Derby
The Lassen Sportsmen’s Club presents the 2023 Junior Fishing Derby and says the Fishing Derby is still on for Saturday, Sept. 30. The weather is cooling off and Susan River still looks good.

Lassen Family Services presents the 6th annual CASA SUPERHERO 5K. They’re so excited to see everyone at the 6th annual CASA Superhero Fun Run and Walk. General admission $20. Susanville Assembly Of God Vendor Fair And Flea Market
The Susanville Assembly of God Church is holding a Vendor Fair and Flea Market Saturday, Sept. 30 to help the church raise funds for a new boiler. The fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church, 473-465 Richmond Road, and $10,000 is needed for the boiler. The Assembly of God is looking for indoor and outdoor vendors. Lassen Family Services dancers are preparing for this year’s 10th annual Dancing For A Brand New Me Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Lassen College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series. The series takes place every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lassen Library District conference room on Main Street. These weekly, hour-long sessions delve into diverse topics ranging from practical skills such as writing effective professional emails and starting a small business, to crowd-pleaser topics including beekeeping and the mysterious world of spiders. They even cover critical issues like managing financial worries and cyber-awareness skills for the whole family.
