Susanville Farmer’s Night Market
The crisp evenings are ushering us quickly into fall, but not too fast, as this month is still full of markets for you to attend. Join the Susanville Farmers Market for its final Night Market of the 2023 season from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Pancera Plaza Fresh, locally grown produce, fresh baked goods, locally raised meats, artisans, food vendors, beer booth, glow sticks, a live D, and more! Organizers say they are all about supporting local over here. With three more Saturday markets and the last Wednesday Night Market of the season, residents still have plenty of time to shop local this month, until you can catch vendors at Lassen Land & Trails Trust‘s Rails to Trails Festival on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Lassen Library Crafts
“Fall” into the season with at Lassen Library for crafts, science, and more. Bring your kids for leaf and apple themed crafts and a STEAM demonstration. from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Lassen Library (1618 Main Street, Susanville). Crafts include: leaf and apple wreath, paper plate apple face and apple pouch. Be sure to “Stick” around for a science demonstration, and don’t “Leaf” without taking both a craft and science experiment you can do at home!

Lunch Time On The Farm

LHS Cheer Clinic
Grizzlies Cheer Clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Lassen High School Gym. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Camp will start right at 9 a.m. $40 per child (Camp includes camp T-shirt, bow and snack). Have your camper wear a loose-fitting T-shirt, shorts, or warm up pants (no jeans) and tennis shoes. Have hair pulled out of face. No gum and no jewelry. Campers will learn to stretch, jump, stunt and a few chants. They will also learn a cheer and a dance they will be performing. Campers will receive their T-shirt and bow when they perform at the Lassen High School Homecoming Junior Varsity Football Half-Time show Friday, Sept. 29. Applications are available. Susanville Symphony Concert On The Green

Junior Fishing Derby
The Lassen Sportsmen’s Club presents the 2023 Junior Fishing Derby and says the Fishing Derby is still on for Sept. 30. The weather is cooling off and Susan River still looks good.

6th Annual CASA SUPERHERO 5K

Vendor Fair and Flea Market
The Susanville Assembly of God Church, 473-465 Richmond Road, is holding a Vendor Fair and Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Saturday, Sept. 30, to help the church raise funds for a new boiler. $10,000 is needed for the boiler. Veterans of Foreign Wars William Davidson Post 2381 presents the Saturday Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. April through December the first Saturday of every month at the Veterans Memorial Hall. Breakfast is open to the public. Breakfast will be held downstairs in the Veterans Memorial Building.

Lassen College Lecture Series
In our community, Lassen College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series. The series takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the Lassen Library District conference room on Main Street. These weekly, hour-long sessions delve into diverse topics ranging from practical skills such as writing effective professional emails and starting a small business, to crowd-pleaser topics including beekeeping and the mysterious world of spiders. They even cover critical issues like managing financial worries and cyber-awareness skills for the whole family. For a special treat, they also offer beginner and intermediate classes in AI with ChatGPT. All are invited to join these free, educational events.
