Chamber Mixer
Mark your calendar for the first Chamber Mixer of 2022. The Lassen County Fair hosts the February Chamber Mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at Lassen County Fairgrounds. Stop by to enjoy a no-host bar featuring a specialty cocktail, live music by the band ‘Timeless’, small bites and a raffle! Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be a chamber member to attend, and we encourage you to bring a friend!
Appreciation Hearts fundraiser
For the month of February, the Lassen County Probation Department’s Appreciation Hearts fundraiser will give community members a chance to send a ‘bucket of hearts’ to a person they appreciate, while contributing to a great cause! Visit Lassen County Arts Council’s Cottage Street Gallery (807 Cottage St.) for unique, one of a kind Valentine’s Day Gifts, open from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. View the current exhibit, ‘Portraits of my Patients,’ photography by Dr. Pete Wilcox, during regular business hours with an artist’s reception to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb.12.

Lassen County’s Cattlemen Cattlewomen present, A Taste of Beef, A Sip of Wine from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Susanville Elks Lodge.The band Timeless performs from 9 to 11 p,m. Must be 21 years of age to attend. Presale tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at the Lassen County Fairgrounds or KJDX/KSUE radio station.

Coppervale Ski Area Presidents Day weekend
Coppervale Ski Area will be hosting a retro weekend, Feb. 19-20, Presidents Day weekend. Dig out those old ski suit onesies and let them have their day! You will also receive a pair of sweet retro sunglasses with the purchase of a lift while supplies last. Holiday rates: $40 full day, $30 half day. Best of Broadway

Susanville Swing Band
The Susanville Symphony Society brings you the Susanville Swing Band at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19 at the Susanville Elk’s Lodge. Scholarship applications
Applications for Lassen County Farm Bureau scholarships and American Ag Credit are now available. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving high school or college students who are pursuing a career in agriculture or agri-business. Students can obtain applications on the Lassen County Farm Bureau’s Facebook page, by contacting their school counselors or calling the Lassen County Farm Bureau office at 257-7242. The application deadline is March 25, 2022.
