Mark your calendars for our March Chamber Mixer at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at Highway to the Gaming Zone, 1430 Main St. Make this St. Patrick’s Day one for the whole family with arcade games, specialty drinks, small bites catered by Stonehouse, sweet treats catered by Merry Morsels, and a raffle! Everyone is welcome to attend; you do not have to be a Chamber member attend, and we encourage you to bring a friend.
14th Annual Spring Show
Hello, Spring! After having to postpone this event for the past two years, the Chamber is ready to bring to you the 14th annual Spring Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at Lassen County Fairgrounds. If your business fits into Home, Garden, Recreation or Wedding Vendor, we welcome you. Best of Broadway
A big shout out to Lassen County Best of Broadway. What a wonderful show this was and ever so happy to be ‘Home Again’! Thank you for bringing to our community performing arts. Big thank you to the cast, choreographers, all of the behind the scenes, sponsors, the Veterans Hall, family and friends (along with anyone I may have missed). Well done, BOB.
Loflin Family Fundraiser
There will be a fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13 to help support the Loflin Family and help spread breast cancer awareness. This fundraiser will include a full day of events, featuring a corn hole tournament, workout classes, craft fair, raffle, kids club and lunch. Rotary Music Contest
Susanville Sunrise Rotary hosts its annual Youth Instrumental Music Contest sat 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the Lassen High School Music Room. This is for students, grades 9-12. There will be two qualifying contents and then the finals, all with prize money; three local monetary prize winners will be chosen. Performance time will be 3 minutes minimum to 8 minutes maximum, you must also bring four copies of your music for the judges. Applications are available through the LHS counseling office, or you can email pgunderson@lcoe.org for more information.
Rotary Speech Contest
Rotary Club of Susanville presents the 2021-2022 Club and District Speech Contest at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the Lassen High School Board Room. This is for students, grades 9-12 with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. This year’s theme: “Share with us a time that you have served others and how were lives impacted, including your own.” Entry deadline is Wednesday, March 9th. St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel offers a St. Patrick’s Day dinner special of corned beef and cabbage Thursday, March 17. The meal will include corned beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots, soup or salad and a roll, all for $21.99 before discounts. For more information, call 252-1100.

The Lassen Humane Society offers a St. Patrick’s Day drive through corned beef and cabbage dinner for $16 per plate from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Susanville Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Drive.. All proceeds to benefit Lassen Humane Society. For more information, leave a message at (257-4555.
St. Patrick’s Day Party
Join Soroptimist International of Susanville with a St. Patrick’s Day Party to benefit #fightforccc. The Shenanigans Shindig will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 18 at Jensen Hall non the Lassen County Fairgrounds. This event will include live music by ‘Timeless,’ a pot of gold wheel, a couples Leprechaun contest, Leprechaun limbo, a silent auction, drinks and snacks. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Axia Home Loans.
Diamond Mountain Casino 26th Anniversary
Join Diamond Mountain Casino and Hotel for a 26th Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, March 19. There will be 26 random winners of $1,000, promo play beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 9 p.m. The Bar and Grill will also be offering free birthday cake with each meal purchase. Susanville Swing Band

‘Smallfoot’
CASA has rescheduled its movie night: “SMALLFOOT” to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Community Church. ‘SMALLFOOT’ is a family friendly movie that “takes place high in the Himalayan mountains, where a community of yetis lives according to rules literally set into ancient stones.” The event entry and snacks are by donation. Lassen Lightning Spring Fling
Lassen Lightning presents its Spring Fling from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Sentimental Journey. This event will include live entertainment, dinner, and photos. $40 for a couple and $10 for each additional guest. Farm Bureau Scholarships
Applications for Lassen County Farm Bureau scholarships and American Ag Credit are now available. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving high school or college students pursuing a career in agriculture or agri-business. Students can obtain applications on the Facebook page Lassen County Farm Bureau, by contacting their school counselors or by calling the Lassen County Farm Bureau office at 257-7242. The application deadline is March 25, 2022.
Cattlewomen, Cattlemen Scholarships
Application for Lassen County Cattlewomen and Cattlemen are now available. Open to both male and female, two scholarships will be available, Cattlewomen Agriculture Scholarship and Cattlewomen Memorial Scholarship. Students must be enrolled or enrolling full time in an Agriculture-related course of study, be a Lassen County resident for at least one year, and meet a minimum of 2.5 GPA. Lassen Association of realtors Scholarships
Applications for the Lassen Association of Realtors Scholarships are now available. This year LAR will be offering three $1,000 scholarships. Students must be in their senior year attending a high school within Lassen County. For more information, call 257-5220. The application deadline is April 15.
Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball are now available. This year Lassen Fastpitch and Lassen Lightning Softball will be offering primary scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and one secondary scholarship in the amount of $500. Students must be high school seniors who have played a minimum of two years in the local Lassen Youth Fastpitch Softball League; must be a senior at Lassen High School; plan to attend an accredited college, university or trade school. LMUD Scholarships
Applications for Lassen Municipal Utility District Scholarships are now available. LMUD is offering two $1,250 scholarships for high school seniors and one $500 scholarship for returning college students — in a program designed to enhance the education and resulting careers of deserving local students. Applications can be accessed on their website or for more information contact call 257-4174. Application deadline is April 29.
Bottle and Brush Art Bar
Bottle and Brush Art Bar is working tirelessly to finish their remodel and open their doors again. With a re-open date still to be determined, they are hoping for soon.
