CHP offers new driver Start Smart class

In an effort to prepare young drivers to drive responsibly, the California Highway Patrol offers new driver education classes for new drivers and their parents.

Start Smart, presented by the CHP, addresses safe driving practices, rules of the road and new driver’s license requirements.

According to a statement from the CHP, the class will be offered locally from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 8. Attendance in the class is by appointment only.
