The California Highway Patrol has released more information regarding the Wednesday, Aug. 16 crash at Bass Hill that killed two people.
According to an update from the CHP, Bradley E. Twaddle, 73, of Susanville, and Irvin D. Widmer, 78, of Mesa, Arizona were both killed in the crash.
Sheryl J. Widmer, 60, of Mesa, Arizona suffered major injuries and was transported by SEMSA Air ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
According to the CHP, Twaddle was driving a 2003 Infinity northbound on Highway 395 at an unknown rate of speed. Sheryl Widmer was driving a 2019 Mazda southbound on Highway 395 at approximately 65-miles-per-hour. Irvin Widmer was seated in the right front passenger seat of the Mazda. The two vehicles collided head-on on the shoulder of Highway 395.
