Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse statement on the passing of Dianne Feinstein
Executive Director for Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse Victor Gomez released the following statement on the passing of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein.

“Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse is saddened to hear of the passing of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein. She was a champion for small business owners, a true example of a public servant to her constituents throughout California.
“More than years ago, Senator Diane Feinstein successfully led the charge and personally advocated to protect California small business owners from unwarranted shakedown lawsuits filed under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Feinstein personally traveled to the state capitol to push for reform. She heard many devastating stories from small business owners who were targets of abusive ADA shakedown lawsuits that cost them their businesses, livelihoods and the jobs their businesses provide to local communities. Feinstein intervened in the negotiations and told legislative leaders in Sacramento that if they didn’t reform the ADA as proposed, she would. Feinstein was responsible for passing SB 1186 with small businesses in mind, and we commend her efforts on behalf of small business owners.
“Today, we have lost an advocate and friend of California’s small business owners. We wish her family well in this very sad time and offer our condolences.”
