City Council announces agenda for March 15 meeting
The Susanville City Council will meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.
The meeting begins with a closed session conference with labor negotiators regarding the Administrative Unit, the Fire Unit, the Miscellaneous Unit, the Professional Technical Unit and the Public Works Unit.
The open session begins at 5 p.m. including Business From The Floor; the Consent Calendar (Minutes from the Feb. 15 and Feb. 22 meetings, vendor and payroll warrants, Resolution No. 23-6102 (Employer Paid Member Contributions), Resolution No. 23-6109, (a MOU with the Administrative Unit) and Resolution No. 23-6114 (an agreement with Kirack Construction for the3 Gas Division Window Project).
Two public hearings will be held — Resolution No. 23-6110, accept8ing the 2021-22 Annual Report of Development/Mitigation Fees; and Resolution No. 23-6113, declaring dogs to be a nuisance.
New business includes co-sponsorship of the 34th annual Junior Fishing Derby; a presentation by the Lassen Prescribed Burn Association; Resolution No. 23-6112, authorizing street closures for the Little League Parade April 15; Resolution No. 23-6112, regarding maintenance of the Gateway Monument and landscaping; Resolution No 23-6115 regarding a $16,500 budget transfer for equipment and outfitting of a new police vehicle; the 2023-2-024 budget schedule; and a discussion of the Economic Development Implementation Plan Ad-Hoc Committee.
Continuing business includes consideration of Resolution No. 23-6108 approving the hiring of three seasonal firefighters and a discussion of city project priorities.
Other items included department reports and a discussion of future council items.
The Susanville City Council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5.
