City Council meets tomorrow

The Susanville City Council hosts a regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, June 7 at the City Council Chambers, 66. N. Lassen St.

The meeting begins with a closed session conference with labor negotiators at 4:30 p.m. regarding the Miscellaneous Unit, the Professional Technical Unit, the Management Unit and the Susanville Police Officer’s Association.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 5 p.m. Items on the agenda include a proclamation designating June 2023 at Pride Month; business from the floor; the consent calendar (minutes of the council’s May 3 and May 17 meetings, monthly financial reports for January, February and March, receive HdL Q4 2022 reports, and consideration of Resolution No. 23-6144 approving and authorizing the may to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Miscellaneous Bargaining Unit for the period of Jan. 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025); new business (Resolution No. 23-6142 regarding donation of a surplus fire engine to the Lassen Community College Fire Technology Program, Resolution No. 23-6145 authorizing the city administrator to execute a personal services contract with Minter Harnish LP, Resolution No 23-6146 uphold a planning commission decision to abate a motorhome from the 800 block of Cypress Street, Resolution No. 23-6147 authorizing the public works director to purchase natural gas for the 2023-2024 winter season, Resolution No. 23-6149 authorizing the public works director to execute a contract with StoneCo Construction, Resolution No. 23-6149 authorizing the mayor and the public works director to sign documents regarding Conservation Camp Program Project requests, Resolution No. 23-6151 approving an agreement between the city and the county regarding safety, security, fire and emergency medical response services at the Lassen County Fair, Resolution No. 23-6151 authorizing street closures for the Fair Parade, department reports and future council items.

The council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21.
