City Council meets Wednesday

The Susanville City Council holds a regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the City Council Chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. with a closed session to discuss two public employment items — the economic development director position and the golf course manager position.

Open session begins at 5 p.m. with a proclamation regarding Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Items on the agenda include Business from the Floor; the Consent Calendar (minutes from the Sept. 6 and Sept. 19 meetings; vendor and payroll warrants; Resolution No. 23-6244 supporting the Honey Lake Valley Hospice Light Up A Life event from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18; Resolution No. 23-6245 regarding a Notice of Completion for the Memorial Park Project); nine Cost Recovery Public Hearings (765 Shasta St.; 560 Hospital Lane; 1705 Main St.; 509 Woodside Way; 63 S. Weatherlow St.; 67 S. Weatherlow St.; 830 Main St.; 325 N. Weatherlow St.; and 105 Laverne Avenue); New Business (Resolution No. 23-6216 delegating authority to the city administrator to make determinations regarding claims; Resolution No. 23-6239 giving notice of the March 5 general election and Resolution No. 23-6240 requesting the consolidation of the election with the statewide primary and Resolution No. 23-6241, adopting regulations for Susanville City Council candidates; Resolution No. 23-6243 authorizing the chief of police to execute at $50,000 grant award from the California Office of Traffic Safety; a discussion of landscape funding for the Susanville South East Gateway Project; Resolution No. 23-6247 authorizing the city administrator to execute an agreement between the city and the Honey Lake Valley RCD for grant administration services for the Johnstonville Dam Project; and Resolution No. 23-6246 authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement with CalMuni Advisors); department reports and future council items.

The council’s next meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19.
