City Council meets Wednesday, April 5
The Susanville City Council hosts a regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, April 5 at the council chambers, 66 N. Lassen St.
The meeting opens with closed session at 4:30 p.m. The council will meet with labor negotiators regarding the fire unit; the miscellaneous unit; the professional technical unit; and the public works unit.
The open session begins at 5 p.m.
Items on the agenda include a proclamation of Sexual Harassment Awareness Month; business from the floor (public comment); and the consent calendar (minutes from March 1 and March 15 and vendor and payroll warrants).
New business includes a presentation by the Lassen Prescribed Burn Association; consideration of a resolution to increase the Natural Gas Division’s budget by $450,000; consideration of a resolution regarding an annual survey of the city’s “six-inch high pressure steel natural gas line cathodic protection system;” consideration of a resolution regarding a printer for the city’s Public Works Department; consideration of a signing bonus for recruitment of an Assistant Civil/Air Quality Engineer position; and consideration of a resolution regarding an agreement with the Bench Craft Company for benches and signs at the golf course.
Continuing business includes consideration of a memorandum of understanding between the city and the Susanville Indian Rancheria regarding a partnership on economic development; and a discussion regarding permanent supportive housing.
The city administrator will present a department report and the council will consider future agenda items.
The council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19.
