The City of Susanville is proposing an employment agreement with Michael Wilson for the position of Susanville’s City Administrator at a special meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.
As per a released city council agenda, the city of Susanville and Michael Wilson have negotiated an at-will agreement for the position of city administrator to be voted upon at the special meeting.
The employment agreement states the term of the employment would begin in February and end February 2021. It also states that Wilson is due to obtain a beginning salary of $101,907, with the council conducting a six-month performance review, at which time, he would be eligible for a salary increase.
Wilson, believed to be from Weed, California, is the general manager of the Lake Shastina Community Services District and its former chief of Public Safety in addition to serving as an adjunct professor at the College of the Siskiyous. He is former deputy regional administrator for the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and former North Area 1 director for the California Fire Chiefs Association.
