Today the city of Susanville released information regarding three Susanville City Council seats up for election in the upcoming June 7 Primary Election.
Incumbent Mayor Mendy Schuster and Councilmember Brian Moore face four challengers in the race for two four-year seats on the council. The challengers are Russ Brown, Curtis Bortle, Tony Ardito and James Merchant.
A third two-year seat, occupied by Thomas Herrera who was appointed to the council after incumbent Brian Wilson declined to take his elected seat, is also up for election. Herrera will face Glen Yonan for that seat.
