City Council releases May 3 agenda

The Susanville City Council released the agenda for its Wednesday, May 3 meeting to be held at the City Council Chambers, 6N. Lassen St.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. with a conference with labor negotiators: Public Works Unit, Fire Unit, Miscellaneous Unit, Professional Technical Unit and the Susanville Police Officers Association.

The council reconvenes in open session at 5 p.m. Items on the agenda include Business from the Floor; the consent calendar (minutes for the April 29 meeting); New Business (discussion regarding lease and operations of the Diamond Mountain Golf Course; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6126 regarding a cooperative fire protection agreement with the U.S. Forest Service; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6128 regarding a $6,100 increase in the Susanville Municipal Airport budget for the purchase of a new windsock tower; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6129 regarding approval for the Susanville Experimental Aircraft Association using the airport for the June 3 Airfair and a $500  increase in the airport budget to pay half of the liability insurance for the event; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6130 regarding a contract with Crazy J’s Concrete to install curbs on gutters and South Lassen Street; city administrator’s report; and future council items.

The Susanville City Council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17.
