The city of Susanville hosts a second public meeting on proposed improvements at Riverside Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Susanville City Council Chambers, located at 66 N. Lassen St.
Funding for the project comes from a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant — and possibly additional grant funding — but some specific improvements necessary to meet the Americans with Disability Act and lighting enhancements must be completed in order to qualify for the funds.
A previous meeting was held Jan. 25, and this meeting is designed to give “one more community forum to allow residents another opportunity to weigh in on design options” for the project, according to a flyer from the city.
According to the flyer, “Big or small, we want your ideas.”
The city invites the public to attend and recommends telling your friends about the meeting. City staff will be on hand to answer the public’s questions and the public has an opportunity to help prioritize the park’s features.
