City releases additional Safe and Sane information
The city of Susanville provided information for the public regarding the Safe and Sane Halloween in the Park event.
The free event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct 30 at the Frank Ernaga Ball Park inside Memorial Park. According to a statement from the city, “This is a trick-or-treating event approved through public health. According to the California Department of Public Health, Halloween and costume masks are not an acceptable mask replacement. Masks will be required to be worn throughout the event for everyone above the age of 2. Refer to the CDPH for more clarification on mask requirements.
Participating organizations handing out treats, may begin setting up at 1 p.m. This event typically serves 1,500 to 2,000 children per year.
All businesses, organizations, civic groups or interested people that would like to participate in this event will need to confirm participation by Wednesday, Oct. 28.
