The Community Foundation of the North State announces the establishment of the Zogg Fire Relief and Recovery Fund to receive donations for those in the Igo and Ono communities and surrounding areas that have been and continue to be severely impacted by the Zogg Fire.
“With an estimated 140 structures already lost, the need is significant. Relief and recovery will be key to supporting those who have lost so much,” said Kerry Caranci, chief executive officer of the Community Foundation of the North State. “As a result of this documented need, we have enabled the Zogg Fire Relief and Recovery Fund to receive donations that will provide immediate and mid-term support to those individuals, nonprofits, and community entities that have experienced great loss.”
The link for donations can be found on the Community Foundation’s website at cfnorthstate.org. (cfnorthstate.org/donations/zogg-fire-relief-and-recovery-fund/)
In previous wildfire disasters, the Community Foundation has accepted, and disbursed donations received in response to the 2014 Boles Fire in Weed, and the 2018 Carr Fire in Redding. The Community Foundation has a credible history of helping regional nonprofits and organizations with the ability to deliver monetary assistance efficiently and effectively toward the relief and recovery of communities impacted.
