Controlled burn to provide training Wednesday

A controlled agricultural burn Wednesday will also help local firefighters get training near Janesville.

Residents may see smoke Wednesday, Feb. 26, as the Cal Fire Lassen Modoc Unit assists the Janesville Fire District with an agricultural burn on the Wood Ranch, located on Hemphill Road.

Cal Fire and the Janesville Volunteer Fire Department will use this opportunity to assist the landowner to conduct a safe control burn and to provide training to their local firefighters.
