Council, Planning Commission discuss city’s General Plan at Special Meeting at 3 p.m. Wednesday
The Susanville City Council and the Susanville Planning Commission hold a special meeting workshop at 3 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 3, to discuss the city’s General Plan. This is a workshop study session, and no action will be taken. Interested members of the public may offer their comments.
According to the agenda, “The City Council and Planning Commission will be holding a study session on the General Plan Update project. Every jurisdiction in California must have a General Plan, which is the local government’s long-term framework for future growth and development. The General Plan represents the community’s view of its future and contains the goals and policies upon which the City Council and Planning Commission will base their land use and resource decisions. This update includes updating the existing Land Use Element and Circulation Element. An overview of the General Plan Update will be provided as well as an opportunity for community input and participation.”
Councilmembers include Mayor Mendy Schuster, Brian Moore, Thomas Herrera, Quincy McCourt and Kevin Stafford. Planning Commission members include Wayne Jambois, Melanie Westbrook, Linda Robinette, Rod DeBoer and Jeremiah Sturgeon.
The council holds its next regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.
