Lassen County Surveyor Don Willis has released the results of the monthly measurement of the level at Eagle Lake.
According to a statement by the county, “The results from our monthly Eagle Lake measurement yesterday afternoon show that the lake has come up 0.46 feet (5.52 inches) over the past month. This puts the lake level at 5,091.00 feet as measured at the low water ramp at Gallatin.
“The lake is currently 1.38 feet (16.56 inches) below where it was one year ago at this time. The good news is that it is rising and there is quite a bit of snow in the surrounding area with more wet weather in the forecast. A good start to the season at least!
