Crews conduct tree removal along Highway 36, delays anticipated

Delays are anticipated as crews remove trees along Highway 36 starting Monday.

According to Caltrans District 2, crews will be conducting tree removal along Highway 36, between Westwood and Susanville, starting on Monday, June 21. Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lane closures with up to 30-minute delays are anticipated.

This work is just one phase of the ongoing Good Fred Project, which is expected to be completed late September.

Note that work will be paused Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5 for the 4th of July Holiday weekend.
