Plumas National Forest announced crews are currently working on a Dixie Fire spot near Lone Rock, the agency shared Friday afternoon.
“Crews have confirmed that there is only one spot fire and that it spotted 3.8 miles out in front from the northeast perimeter near Moonlight Peak. Firefighters are working to suppress it,” PNF shared.
On the same post, the agency noted prior it was aware of the spot fires visible from Janesville and wrote, “We’re aware of the spot fire visible from Janesville near Lone Rock. There are sparse fuels in the area, so the fire isn’t spreading quickly. Dixie East Zone crews are working actively to suppress it.”
