Daisie Marie Fain was born in Lee Creek Arkansas to Toye and Mae Hart. The family moved to Susanville in 1941. She worked a variety of jobs including ranch cook at the Lucky Hereford Ranch, the biggest at the time, a school bus driver, clerk at local convince stores, transportation for the railroad crews and a family service worker at the local prisons outreach centers.
She liked to quilt and crochet. She liked to go for drives and travel. She enjoyed fishing and caught a lot of big ones at Eagle and Pyramid lakes. Her garden and raising her animals gave her great pleasure. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain large family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents Toye and Mae Hart; siblings, Gladys Caballero and JD Hart; her son George Fain; grandchildren Chandra and Sara Riddle and Micah Winters.
She was married to Theron Riddle until 1959 and Vernon Fain from 1960 until his death in 1987. She is survived by Jeff (Stephanie) Riddle, Brenda Jarrard, Robert (Deloris) Riddle, Betty Porter and daughter-in-law Manu Fain, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
