The Lassen County Democratic Party hosts a virtual town hall on Zoom from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 2.
The free event is dubbed “North State Conversations: The Power of Effective Representation.
California Congressional District 1 candidate Audrey Denney, California Senate District 1 candidate Elizabeth Bentancourt and California Assembly District 1 candidate Pamela Swartz will discuss effective representation in an event hosted by Rusty Hicks, California Democratic Party chair.
According to a statement from the local party, “The candidates will discuss North State issues, explore how effective representation for Northern California will improve our lives and strengthen our communities. From healthcare access to forest health, agriculture and our local economy to fire prevention, they look forward to sharing your perspectives — and hearing from you — about issues impacting the North State.”
