Do you have any information about missing person Christen Danae Pelletier?

The Susanville Police Department seeks any information from the public regarding missing person Christen Danae Pelletier, 49, of Susanville.

According to a statement issued today, Friday, Feb. 7, by the SPD, Pelletier’s father filed a missing person’s report the afternoon of Jan. 10, 2023. He indicated that he had not heard from his daughter for a couple of months, which was unusual. Her name was entered into the Missing and Unidentified Persons System and attempts to contact the individuals her father thought she might be staying with proved unsuccessful.

According to the statement, on Jan. 11, her information was posted on the NamUs.gov missing person’s webpage to assist in generating leads to locate her. As a result of her profile being posted, numerous tips came in. Officers followed up on all tips; however, there has been no success in locating her.

According to the statement, Pelletier called 911 on her cell phone requesting assistance. Unfortunately, her cell phone disconnected before dispatch could obtain information regarding her location. SPD officers checked the area of Highway 139 to just past the city limits sign with negative results.

According to the statement, later that morning after calling 911, Pelletier was contacted on Highway 139 near Merryville Road and provided a ride to another location in the immediate area.

The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office assisted in attempts to locate Pelletier by contacting residents on Hagata Road and utilizing a CHP helicopter from Redding.

The search for Pelletier continues, and the SPD requests any information regarding her whereabouts or possible sightings be reported for investigation. Contact the SPD directly at (530) 257-5603 during normal business hours or dispatch after hours and during weekends at (530) 257-2171.

The SPD thanks the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol for assisting with this investigation.
