The Doyle community celebrates Doyle Days and the World Famous Lizard Races Saturday, Aug. 3. Sign ups for the 5K Walk/Run begin at 7 a.m. with the event at 7:30 a.m.; a flea market will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Doyle Community Building; the parade line up begins at 9 a.m. with the parade at 10 a.m.; the World Famous Lizard Races begin at noon; the Doyle Volunteer Fire Department will serve Indian tacos between noon and 7 p.m.; a horse shoe tournament at the Buck Inn begins at 2 p.m.; prize drawings will be held at Dixon Park at 5 p.m.; a street dance featuring Rickety Bridge will be held from 6 to 10 p.m.; and vendor and craft and food booths will be open all day at Dixon Park.
