Dora Virginia Hartman entered into the loving arms of her Savior on October 12, 2022 at the age of 96. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her beheld the most loving, kind, generous, sweetheart of a lady.
Dora’s greatest joys were being surrounded by family, listening to Christian radio, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, the ocean sand on her feet, spending time with friends, whooping and hollering with her grandson during Raider games, gardening and eating her crab and abalone. She was strong in her faith and God enabled her to be healthy, living independently and still traveling up until her heart attack on September 12, 2022.
Dora was born on August 11, 1926 in Raton, New Mexico, to Amelia and Jack Valentine. She was 1 of 9 children: Frank, Maryann, Jack, Joe, Bill, Kate and Tom who have preceeded her in death. And is survived by her sister Betty (Wesley), daughter Linda, son Ray (Deborah), stepchildren Linda (Nick), Ken (Lynn), Raye Deane and their families, grandson Phil Jr (Desiree), granddaughter Jennifer (Cameron) and great-grandson Austin.
Dora was a true joy and always with a warm smile. She will be so incredibly missed. A celebration of life will be held spring/summer 2023 when the flowers are in bloom.
