Doyle Fire Protection District shares ways to financially donate to victims

There are some ways to assist the families in Doyle who recently lost their homes due to the catastrophic Sugar Fire of the Beckwourth Complex that destroyed about 33 structures in Doyle this month.

The Doyle Fire Protection District recently shared two ways those looking to give may donate financially: A GoFundMe, titled Doyle Beckwourth Complex Victims Recovery Fund, or through the mail.

“All money donated will be evenly distributed to each of the families who lost their homes,” read the GoFundMe. “On July 10, 2021 the Beckwourth Complex Fire devastated the little town of Doyle, California. The fire came over the mountain and destroyed so many homes and firefighters tried to save as many homes as possible. There is 33  homes that were lost as of right now. All donations will go to the families who lost their homes. Let’s help these families as much as we can. Doyle was devastated by a fire 8 months ago and now the town has to go through it all over again. Any little bit will help. Let’s help these families get back on their feet. ”

By Tuesday afternoon, the site raised about $9,200.

Those wishing to contribute financially, but not through the GoFundMe, may send monetary donations or gift cards for fire victims to:

Doyle Christian Church

P.O. Box 221

“We want to say Thank You to everyone who has donated and shared. We appreciate it,” shared the Doyle Fire Protection District.
