Dr. Claudette June LaMarr

With great sadness we share the passing of Dr. Claudette June LaMarr. She passed away on May 13, 2023, at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA. June was born on July 16, 1950, in Susanville, California, to Leonard and Esther LaMarr.

June is Northern Paiute and Pitt River from the Susanville Indian Rancheria. She will be remembered by her many accomplishments. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State, CA, she moved to Seattle, WA, and received her Ph.D with distinction from the University of Washington in Clinical Psychology. She dedicated her career to serving the members of the Tulalip Tribes community and was known to be a very loving and kind soul who dedicated her life to helping others.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Hilary Dawn Leonesio, Leland Wayne Savage Jr., granddaughters: Maya Kabore and Scarlet Savage; great-grandchildren include: Penelope Montoya and Majiid Kabore; sisters: Jean LaMarr, Janet Crutcher and Cindy LaMarr. The children she loved and called her own include: QuiYonna, Quiory and CJ. She was adored and loved by many friends, colleagues and extended family.

A celebration of June’s life will be held at the Susanville Indian Rancheria on June 17th @ 1pm.
